Microsoft Power Automate – (Hustle &) FLOW

Microsoft Power Automate – (Hustle &) FLOW

Hey all, another interesting one today. A client is migrating up to SharePoint on Microsoft 365 from a local Access database. What they needed was a list they could update with client info, and assign unique Purchase Order numbers. With Power Automate and a little DB knowledge we were able to help them out. Since they are starting out with Lists in SharePoint, each line has a unique ID. Using the ID in combination with some custom text, we were able to use Flows to increase the PO number as each List line entry is created. I will add some screenshots later, but there are a lot of complex solutions online for this issue; but a fairly simple and straightforward answer.

Microsoft 365 is a great platform. Send us a message if you have questions or want to know if it would be a good fit for you or your business!
